University Women to host Rwandan guest speaker

Carine Kayinamura will be the guest speaker Jan. 18 at the first American Association of University Women Nevada County Branch meeting of 2014. She is a native of Rwanda who lost family members in the 1994 Rwandan genocidal mass slaughter. In Africa, she has worked with various nonprofit organizations in finance and accounting as well as mentoring at-risk girls and boys. Free and open to the public, the meeting will take place 9:30 a.m. Jan. 18 (program begins at 10 a.m.) at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St., Grass Valley.
