Tree of Love part of fundraising effort for hospice care

The Tree of Love will be lit throughout the month of December at the Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City. A project of Friends of Hospice, each light will represent a remembrance of a loved one lost.

The organization is also soliciting donations through the mail, which can be returned with a message written upon a small paper tree.

These will be displayed on Holiday Memorial Trees located at the Hospice facility as well as Hospice Thrift Centers.

New volunteers are welcome at Friends of Hospice and do the very worthwhile job of working on events to raise money for the use of Hospice of the Foothills. FOH has no paid members and all of the monies raised is used for the benefit of Hospice of the Foothills. For information, call 530-247-5121.
