The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County to sponsor ‘Candidates’ Night’

The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County will sponsor a ‘Candidates’ Night’ forum for candidates who may represent Nevada County residents. Presenters include two U.S. Senate candidates; two U.S. House of Representative candidates; and two California State Senate candidates. The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, at the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, 950 Maidu Ave. in Nevada City.

All candidates have been invited to present their views on the issues in response to questions posed by League members and questions from the audience and media.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. As part of its voter services, The League registers new voters and organizes candidates nights whenever there is a contested election.
