Sponsors sought for renovation of city planters

Elizabeth Poston, owner of Living Outdoors Landscape Design and her husband, Dan Poston of BP Landscapes, recently donated their time and expertise to renovate a city-owned planter on the west corner of Mill and West Main Streets in downtown Grass Valley.

They will also take over the maintenance of the planter to ensure it remains attractive and in good condition. The Postons agreed to do the overhaul if the city paid for (at a discount) the materials and brought the irrigation up to speed.

The city has many brick- and ground-level planters that could use renovation and the Postons are looking for businesses or community members to partner with them in transforming these planters into fresh, colorful works of “plant” art. “If we all pitch in we can accomplish a great deal for a reasonable price,” said Elizabeth Poston.

If anyone would like to sponsor a planter renovation, contact Elizabeth Poston at 530-205-9607 or at eposton@livingoutdoorslandscape.com for details.
