The South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the incoming officers for 2013. They are as follows: President LeeAnn Halleib of Suddenlink Communications, Vice President Eric Hatch of Century 21 Foothill Realty, Secretary April Smith of American Pacific Mortgage, Director of Membership Jeff Herman of The Red Chair, Director of Marketing/Media Linda Kelley of Tri Counties Bank, Office Director Elsie Weaver, directors at large Bobbie Powell of Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty and Carol Scofield of Carol Scofield & Associates.

On Feb. 2, Carol Scofield facilitated a planning meeting with the new board. The four-hour session allowed officers to learn their personality types and to plan directions for the South Nevada County Chamber and its membership. New events and a continuation of the chamber’s popular mixers and membership luncheons/breakfasts are in the works. The chamber will also continue to co-sponsor the popular Bear River Fun Run in conjunction with the cross country team of Bear River High School. The run is part of Nevada County’s circuit and will take place Aug. 3. The chamber is also a sponsor of Magnolia Middle School’s Bid N Boogie and Bear River’s Grad Night and awards college scholarships each year to Bear River and Forest Lake Christian School’s high school senior applicants.

To contact the chamber for information, please call 530-268-7622 or visit our office located at 10063 Combie Road across from the CVS Pharmacy.
