Soroptimist ‘mini-grants’ available to Nevada County nonprofits

Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills is offering small grants to nonprofit agencies or organizations that improve the lives of women and children in the community and throughout the world. Last year the service group funded $14,000 in “mini-grants.”

SISF has designated $10,000 to fund mini-grants for service programs consistent with their mission statement. Applications should include the following: the agency’s mission and vision statement detailing services the organization provides; the community need for the program; the proposed use of the requested funds and community impact; the dollar amount requested; how partial funding could be used; contact person, address, telephone number, fax number, email address and agency tax identification number.

Proposals are due by Nov. 1. Submit applications via email or mail to Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills, Attention Service Committee, P. O. Box 778, Grass Valley, CA 95945. The application form is available on line at http://www.sierrasoroptimist.org. Questions may be addressed to Elke Williamson at 530-478-9552, or by email to Ashley Schwarz at aschwarz@qimedical.com.
