Soroptimist grants available to nonprofit agencies

Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills would like to announce the availability of funds offered to nonprofit agencies or organizations which improve the lives of women and children in the community and throughout the world.

Soroptimist International organization has designated $7,000 to fund grants for service programs consistent with their mission statement. Grant applications should focus on programs that support women and children. SISF awarded $29,000 to community service, mini grants, education and scholarships in 2014-2015.

Those interested in applying for a grant can send a letter of not more than two pages including the following information:



The agency’s mission and vision statement detailing services the organization provides; the community need for the program; the proposed use of the requested funds and community impact; the dollar amount requested; contact information, including the contact person, address, telephone number, fax number, email address and agency tax identification number.

Approved grants will be announced on December 15, 2015.
