Snowshoeing in Bear Valley Feb. 13

A Bear Yuba Land Trust outing Feb. 13 will feature California naturalist Rick Ramos, who will lead a snowshoe trip through the west side of the Bear Valley. The outing is open to the public. The group will look for evidence of ancient cultures, while taking time to observe the winter landscape. The terrain is fairly level, making it appropriate for those new to the sport of snowshoeing. Equipment not provided. Snowshoes can be rented from Mountain Recreation in Grass Valley, The group will depart at 9:30 a.m. and return by 2:30 p.m. Space is limited to 20 participants.
