Sixth grade “Drive Thru Tri-Tip Barbecue Dinner” set for October 10

Tickets are now on sale for the Seven Hills School drive-through tri-tip fundraiser. Proceeds help fund the sixth-graders’ five day environmental science trip to the Marin Headlands. The barbecue will be from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Deer Creek School’s bus pick-up loop (not at Seven Hills) on Hoover Lane in Nevada City. Menu includes barbecued tri-tip, coleslaw with dressing courtesy of Ike’s Quarter Cafe, baked beans and a dinner roll. Drinks will be on sale for an additional 50 cents.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from 7:45 to 8:20 a.m. and 2:30 to 3 p.m. (before and after school) on Friday, October 4 and Monday, October 7 in front of Deer Creek and Seven Hills schools. Tickets will also be available during school hours (8:20 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.) in the offices of Seven Hills and Deer Creek schools on Oct. 4 and 7. Dinners are $10 per meal. Pre-orders only.
