Samba Soccer Sports Arena in Grass Valley celebrated its 20th anniversary on Aug. 1. In addition to many community members, those on hand to celebrate where founding owners Bob and Edee Britts, Tim and Janelle Parker, and Jeff and Joyce Moore.

Also in attendance were many past, present and future players and their families.

With a reputation for being a fun, safe and family friendly environment, Samba has been home to players for high school, club and college teams, as well as competitive youth and adult leagues — or those just interested in fun and exercise.

Samba has recently introduced other activities to the arena, such as volleyball, flag football and now the new craze “Knocker Ball Soccer.”
