Pine Tree Quilt Guild meeting Tuesday

The Pine Tree Quilt Guild will host guest speaker Sandy Klop at the next meeting Tuesday, Nov. 4. Members and guests will gather at 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of Grass Valley Charter School, 225 S. Auburn St. in Grass Valley. Klop of Walnut Creek is an accomplished quilt maker, teacher, pattern designer (American Jane Patterns), and Moda fabric creator.

Three of Pine Tree Quilt Guild’s activities take place on the third Thursday of each month. These include “Community Service,” “Drop-in ’n Quilt,” and “Home Workshop,” which will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the SDA Church on Osborne Hill Road in Grass Valley. Join the community service effort to make items for December distribution to local people in need such as senior care facilities, homeless, victims of natural disaster, foster youth, and others. Learn a new skill in the free-to-members “Home Workshop” with local trapunto expert Myrna Raglin.
