Pine Tree Quilt Guild continues helping those in need

The Pine Tree Quilt Guild’s Community Service group continues to serve individuals in need of comfort, such as donating items to a local family who lost their home to fire. In August, 19 quilts and 24 pillowcases were distributed, the Guild is always open to more who are willing to make quilts to donate. The group has moved to a new location at Western Sierra YOUTH BUILD Charter School, 12338 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley (just past the Nevada County Fairgrounds on the right) and will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 20 (every third Thursday of the month). The location offers easy parking access and a classroom filled with tables for sewing, cutting, laying out tops, etc. Kits and fabric are available.
