Penn Valley Fire board meets today

The board of directors for the Penn Valley Fire Protection District will meet Tuesday and will discuss succession planning for the fire chief position, The board will hear a report from its ad hoc committee on recruiting and hiring a new chief. The board may consider and approve the retention of a professional recruiting company.

Other items on the agenda include discussing the possible sale of surplus extrication tools, and a report from the Fire Safe Council.

The board meets at 6:30 p.m. at Station 43, 10513 Spenceville Road. For more information, call 432-2630.
