Peace Lutheran Church quilters donate to maternity center in Grass Valley

Quilters from Peace Lutheran Church recently donated 17 quilts to the new Maternity Health Services Center of Western Sierra Medical Clinic in Grass Valley.

The quilts will be given to the mothers of newborn babies. Others have recently been donated to KARE Crisis Nursery and new homeowners with Habitat for Humanity,

Peacemakers is open to anyone interested in quilting, including beginners. Jobs include sorting fabric, matching fabric to be used together, selecting patterns, cutting, sewing by machine, hand-sewing and tying. Donations of all-cotton fabric are welcome.



The groups meets from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 W. Main St., near downtown Grass Valley. For more information, visit http://www.PeaceLutheranGV.org or call 530-273-9631.
