NJUHSD requests community input on strategic funding plan

The Nevada Joint Union High School District is in the process of developing a long-range strategic plan for the district.

The new funding model for California schools, called the Local Control Funding Formula, gives the district an opportunity to improve the educational options for all students and involve the community in the process.

As stakeholders in the future of our youth, the Nevada Joint Union High School District is requesting public involvement at a town hall meeting where district officials will explain how the new funding formula and accountability plan work and to solicit input from the community on how best to meet the needs of students.

The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools’ Office, Houser Room, located at 112 Nevada City Highway in Nevada City.
