Nevada County Book Sale extended, prices reduced

The 20th Annual Nevada County Book Sale to benefit United Way of Nevada County has been extended through Nov. 13. As a special bonus, all books are 50 cents for the entire week of Monday through Nov. 13. Choose from mysteries, adventures, science fiction and more. Nevada County is currently holding its annual Book Sale at the Rood Center Lobby, located at 950 Maidu Ave in Nevada City. The sale is open to the public, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All proceeds go to United Way of Nevada County. There are a variety of books on hand, including children’s, cookbooks, fiction and non-fiction. Book donations will no longer be accepted.

United Way of Nevada County is also collecting donations of new socks and gloves to help keep community members warm this winter. Donated items can be dropped off at the Rood Center during the Book Sale.

United Way of Nevada County’s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. United Way envisions a community where all individuals and families achieve their desired potential through healthy lives, education and income stability.
