National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association to host publisher of The Union

Dave Schmall, publisher of The Union, will be the featured speaker at the next regular meeting of NARFE Chapter 1335, Thursday, June 13. Meetings of the Grass Valley Chapter are held monthly (except July and August) at the LinQ Chinese Buffet, 682 Freeman Lane, Grass Valley. Social hour begins at 11:15 a.m. with a buffet lunch at noon. The featured program starts at 12:30 p.m., and a short business meeting follows the program.

The Grass Valley chapter is also planning its annual membership picnic for 11 a.m. Thursday,, July 11, at Pioneer Park in Nevada City. All active and retired federal employees and their spouses are eligible to join NARFE and are welcome to attend the picnic and chapter meetings.

NARFE’s objective is to protect retirement and related benefits for current and retired federal employees. It also actively supports Alzheimer’s research. The local meetings serve as an opportunity for retirees to socialize and hear programs of value to members. A benefit of membership is receiving timely updates on policy actions affecting federal employees and retirees.

Reservations for lunch are not necessary. For more information on the luncheon or program, call Larry Kinkor at 530-265-6477.
