‘Move to Amend’ marchers wanted for Constitution Day parade

Leah Schwinn, spokesperson for the Nevada County Move to Amend group, has issued a call for marchers to participate in the Constitution Day parade in Nevada City. At the Fourth of July parade, the group took second place and hopes that the March of Amendments will take the top award at the Sept. 14 event.

At least 31 persons will be required to complete the group’s entry. They will carry signs and sing the chorus of “I Am a Person” as Charly Price sings the verse. The group’s mission is to end corporate personhood via the eventual passage of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Broad street in Nevada City. MTA marchers are asked to meet at site number 50 at the top of East Broad street at 1:30 p.m. Appropriate attire includes any combination of red, white and/or blue clothing.
