Lions Club selling See’s holiday candy

The Higgins Diggins Lions Club is selling See’s Holiday Candy from its familiar yellow candy wagon, located at Combie Plaza Shopping Center on Combie Road in south Nevada County. The hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day until Christmas Day. All proceeds from the sale are returned to the public in a variety of ways. Some local beneficiaries this past year include KARE Crisis Nursery, Hospitality House, Magnolia School’s annual sixth-grade science trip and providing vision screening and glasses to children. In addition, $5,500 in scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors at Bear River High School.

Lions Club International is the world’s largest service organization with more than 1.4 million members in 207 countries worldwide. For information on Higgins Diggins Lions, call (530) 268-3782 or go to http://www.higginsdigginslions.org.
