Library to host adult reading program

Summer Reading

Program begins

The Madelyn Helling Library will be hosting its first Adult Summer Reading Program event of the summer at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Gene Albaugh Community Room. This year’s Summer Reading theme is “Reading is Soo Delicious!” and the library is celebrating that theme through books, events and programs centered around food, nutrition, gardening and health in our communities.

This first event on Tuesday is called “Garden to Plate: Sustainable Gardening to Feed your Family,” and will feature a panel presentation and some short video clips on local gardening, agriculture and farming in our community. This event is free to the public and no advanced registration is required. Just come prepared to learn and have fun. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

For questions about the program, contact the Madelyn Helling Library at 265-7050.
