Jogging for a good cause at Alta Sierra Elementary School

Alta Sierra Elementary School students took time out Friday morning to get fit and raise funds for their school. The annual “Jog-a-Thon” raises approximately $10,000 every year, with funds going towards field trips, garden activities, art lessons, technology, library services, and classroom supplies. Station 89 and the Grass Valley Police Department were on hand to support the students, whose theme this year was “Be a Hero.”
