The Ponderosa Pines Mobile Home Park will be hosting a raffle to benefit Child Advocates of Nevada County from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14. The raffle will be featured at Ponderosa Pines’ annual Art & Craft Faire. Admission is free.

Child Advocates of Nevada County is a private, nonprofit agency founded in 1993 to provide Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) services to abused and neglected children who were dependents of the Dependency Court. After the initial years of working with children who had been removed from abusive homes, the agency’s staff and board of directors recognized that work needed to be done to prevent families from ever reaching a point of crisis. As a result, the agency expanded by adding three additional programs: Foothills Truckee Healthy Babies, Child Safety Puppeteers and Welcome Baby.

The raffle prize winner will go home with one item contributed by each artist, roughly 18 quality hand-created pieces ranging from wind-chimes, leather- and wood-work, fused glass and sewn items to paintings and jewelry.

All proceeds from the raffle will go to Child Advocates of Nevada County. Raffle tickets will be on sale for $1 each or $6 for five at the Ponderosa Pines Art & Craft Faire, 10135 Timberland Drive, Grass Valley. Ticket holders need not be present to win. For more information, contact Michelle Reynolds at 831-818-5260.
