Guest speaker to address shifting Israeli relations with U.S., Middle East

Congregation B’nai Harim at the Nevada County Jewish Community Center will hots the first lecture of its Adult Education Program for the 2012-2013 year on October 25. The lecture will be given by Matthew Gabe of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee). Gabe is an area director for AIPAC and directs activities in the East Bay, Sacramento and Northern Nevada regions. His portfolio includes lobbying, grassroots organizing, political party work, and coalition building on topics such as the U.S.-Israel relationship, Israel-related policy on Capitol hill, the geo-political climate of the Middle East and the importance of grass roots political involvement. In this lecture he will discuss, in part, the shifting dynamics in the Middle East, the upcoming Presidential and Congressional elections and how to get involved with AIPAC. There is no fee for this lecture. The lecture will be held at the Nevada County Jewish Community Center (NCJCC), located at 506 Walsh Street in Grass Valley.
