Grass Valley Community Acupuncture comes to Nevada County

Grass Valley Community Acupuncture will be celebrating its grand opening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Clinic owner and primary practitioner Renee Klorman, LAC, MSOM, LMT, is offering free acupuncture before 4 p.m. during the open house. The Nevada City Herb and Tea Co. will provide a free tea tasting, and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

GVCA is the first community style acupuncture clinic in Nevada County, offering affordable treatments based on a sliding scale of $20 to $40. GVCA is located at 133 Neal St., between Mill and South Auburn streets (previously the Copper Top Lounge).

Patients are treated in a peaceful group setting while comfortably reclining in zero-gravity chairs. The group setting allows Klorman to monitor multiple patients, which helps the treatment remain affordable. In addition to acupuncture, a treatment plan might also include Chinese herbal prescriptions, dietary recommendations and exercises.
