Gold Crush Climbing Gym in Grass Valley launches crowdfunding campaign

Gold Crush Climbing Gym in Grass Valley launched a crowdfunding campaign Wednesday, following their release party at Matteo’s Public in Nevada City. Gold Crush will open its doors to Nevada County this fall. The foothills of the Sierra are home to a combination of climbers; those who climb and need a place to train, and those who want to learn, but are unable due to the absences of a training facility. Gold Crush climbing gym will provide this space and much more.

Gold Crush is opening a 3,000 square foot facility at 124 Clydesdale Ct., Suite D, where climbers can scale artificial walls using ropes and padding for safety, according to a press release. Its mission is “nurturing the local community and integrating local businesses with events, promotions, and adventure opportunities.”

Gold Crush was founded by a group of climbers who want to see a more active climbing community in Nevada County. Not only will Gold Crush support the local community of adult climbers, it aims to teach kids responsibility, leadership, and how to safely climb, according to a press release.
