Gold Country Stage offers free fare days Sept. 22-24

County of Nevada Transit Services has received a Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) air quality grant that provides public transit funding assistance for projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility.

Gold Country Stage will provide free fares on all routes and will be operating their normal schedules and times (5:50 a.m. to 8 p.m.) on Sept. 22 and 23 and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 24. All routes are free.

Gold Country Stage is also available for folks traveling to the 2016 “Draft Horse Classic” at the Fairgrounds on Route 3. The Route 3 bus stop will be available at Brighton St. and McCourtney Rd. at eight minutes past each hour from 7:08 a.m. through 7:08 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8:08 a.m. through 4:08 p.m. Saturday at the Fairgrounds stop.
