Full moon walk in Spenceville

The Bear Yuba Land Trust will be leading its popular sunset/moonrise stroll through a section of the Spenceville Wildlife Area from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 18. The group will stroll through rolling oak woodlands and past angled “tombstones” with the path lit only by moonlight. The call of the western screech owl has been heard in the past. Participants should bring their own light dinners and goodies to share. This 3- to 4-mile trek, rated “easy to moderate,” fills up fast, so register early. Cost is $12 to BYLT members, $17 to not-yet-members. For information, go to http://BearYubaLandTrust.org or call Melony at 530-272-5994, ext. 200.
