Free child abuse ‘mandated reporter’ training

In conjunction with Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Community Support Network of Nevada County is sponsoring a free “Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training” from 3 to 5 p.m. on April 27 in the Board of Supervisors’ chambers at the Rood Center in Nevada City.

The training is open to interested parties who are affiliated with a nonprofit and those for whom the training is a job requirement per the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA).

More information can be found in sections 11164-11174.3 of the California Penal Code.



Trainers will include Nick Ready, interim program manager of Nevada County Child Protective Services Division and Rachel Peña Roos, LCSW, executive director, Victor Community Support Services. No pre-registration is required.
