Former Grass Valley salon owner pens beauty book

Sharen Hill-Deardorff of Grass Valley will be hosting a book signing for her newly self-published book, “Beauty Is … Beauty Solutions that Actually Work” from 2 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Lucchesi wine tasting room in downtown Grass Valley. Hill-Deardorff has worked in the beauty business for more than 40 years and owned three separate salons, including CosmetiqueSpa & Boutique. With the sale of CosmetiqueSpa in August, she has retired from the beauty business to pursue her career as a writer. The book was written as a means help women make informed choices without wasting time and money on products and procedures that don’t work. The Lucchesi tasting room is located at 128 Mill St. in Grass Valley.
