Father Phelan Golf Classic coming in July

The 18th Annual Father Phelan Golf Classic is scheduled for a shotgun start at 1 p.m. on July 10 at the Lake Wildwood Golf Course. This year’s beneficiaries will be Mt. St. Mary’s Academy and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County and North Lake Tahoe. The event will be hosted by Grass Valley Knights of Columbus. Advertising sponsors who donate $1,000, $500 or $250 dollars will have their business or family name printed on the flyer for early recognition. Donors can also be a “friend” of Father Phelan at the $100 level. To attend, donate or volunteer, contact Tom Jacobs at 530-432-3906 or email tomjacobs@cebridge.net.

Last year the Knights of Columbus donated just over $14,000 to two beneficiaries. Their goal this year is $16,000. Organizers are still seeking silent auction items and raffle prizes. For more information, contact Ed Wydra at 530-432-2591.
