Driver refuses medical aid after rollover

Firefighters from Nevada County Consolidated and Grass Valley fire departments responded to an early-morning rollover accident on Highway 49 Tuesday.

Firefighters arrived at the scene of the 1 a.m. wreck on Highway 49 at Alta Sierra Drive to find the vehicle off the road with the driver inside, according to Grass Valley Fire Battalion Chief Mark Buttron.

The vehicle was stabilized with rescue jacks and the driver was able to get out. The driver was evaluated, but refused medical transport.
