Dog adopt-a-thon today at Scooter’s Place

Dogs in need of loving homes will be available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at a pet adopt-a-thon hosted by Scooter’s Pals, 1781 East Main Street in Grass Valley. In addition, dog trainer John Garcia will be at the event from noon to 4 p.m. to answer any questions. Families fostering dogs are encouraged to attend. Garcia volunteers his time to help Scooter’s Pals get dogs with behavioral problems ready for their forever homes. Garcia is a highly recommended trainer. He can be reached at 530-274-1583. Pet related items will be available for sale. The adopt-a-thon will be at Scooter’s Place Thrift and Gift Store, 1781 East Main Street in Grass Valley (just down from Humpty Dumpty). Scooter’s Pals provides foster and forever homes for abused or abandoned dogs scheduled to be killed in local and nearby shel­ters. For more information, visit http://www.scooterspals.org.
