Computers for genealogy study group

The Nevada County Genealogical Society’s Study Group will host the last session of “Computers for Genealogy” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28 in the community room of the Madelyn Helling Library in Nevada City. The class and handout be on “scanning,” and will cover the history of scanning, review of equipment, scanning procedures and how to organize the end results. This method of electronic conversion has given the genealogist the books and documents that now appear on the internet.

The meetings are open to the public, free of charge. For more information contact Donna Dugle Young at ddugle@pacbell.net or 530-477-0192.
