Computer center features Windows 8

The Gold Country Computer Learning Center announces it is hosting a free user group from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The topic is “Windows 8 is here!” Anyone planning to buy a new PC, upgrade from Windows 7 or XP or purchase the new Microsoft Surface Tablet will want to attend. Join us as our presenters, Larry Naskrent and Jim March, discuss the features of Windows 8, including tiles and charms, when to use the Windows key, present a demonstration of some of the screens and learn how this product supports traditional mouse and keyboard computers, as well as touch screens. Gold Country Computer Learning Center is a Nevada County 501-C-3 non-profit located at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, Gate 2, in Ponderosa Hall.
