Child Advocates will present its second Annual Children for Children benefit concert at 7 p.m. on November 7 at the Center for the Arts. The concert features classical music performances by talented local youth musicians, many of whom also perform with Music in the Mountains and other professional-level ensembles. One of the youngest performers, Fiona Gillogy, age 12, pictured above, performs in the Sacramento Theater Company’s Young Professionals Conservatory. The inspiring performances of the young musicians showcase how children inspire us and how adult guidance is essential for children to succeed. Music in the Mountains’ youth coordinator Mark Vance will bring a dose of levity and humor as Master of Ceremonies for the event. The concert is a fundraiser for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program. To buy tickets, visit http://www.showcaseofhope.org or call 530-265-9550, ext. 226.
