Butterfly Garden of Remembrance hosted by Friends of Hospice

The three giant butterflies in front of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City are part of the 16th annual “Butterfly Garden of Remembrance” hosted by Friends of Hospice, an auxiliary of Hospice of the Foothills. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 28, 29 and 30. More than 700 colorful butterflies will be installed with special written messages and names of loved ones on cards attached to wrought iron butterfly stakes. A $15 donation is requested for each remembrance card. Cards will be available all three days at the Butterfly Garden for visitors wishing to come by and make a remembrance of loved ones. For more information call the Friends of Hospice office at 530-274-5121.
