Books still accepted for United Way book sale benefit

Book donations are still being accepted for the 18th annual Nevada County Book Sale to benefit United Way of Nevada County. Donated books (in good condition) are now being accepted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Oct. 11 in the Rood Government Center Lobby, located at 950 Maidu Ave. in Nevada City. They will not accept the following: National Geographic/periodicals, textbooks, encyclopedias, recorded tapes/DVDs, Harlequin novels or eight-track tapes/cassette tapes.

Through Nov. 1, Nevada County will be hosting its 18th annual Book Sale. All proceeds go to United Way of Nevada County. Prices range from 50 cents to $4, and the sale is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are a variety of books on hand, including children’s, cookbooks, fiction and non-fiction. This event is just one of many Nevada County is hosting to benefit United Way of Nevada County.
