Bisexuality: the shadow of the LGBTQ world

Dr. Marilyn Chambliss will discuss bisexuality at PFLAG’s next meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains, 246 South Church Street in Grass Valley.

The meeting will open with a presentation of the TED talk, “50 Shades of Gay,” and Chambliss will share information on bi-sexuality based on articles she has gathered, and the recent book, “The Bi-Sexual Option.” She also will share the story of her own experiences and will invite others to share theirs. The meeting will end with the YouTube video, “Yes I Am Bi-Sexual,” by R.J. Aguiar.

Prior to the presentation, the monthly PFLAG support group will meet at 6 p.m. at the same location and all ages and orientations are invited to attend. Founded in 1972 with a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation’s largest family and ally organization. The organization is made up of parents, families, friends, and allies united with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT).
