Author describes plane crash, survival at Auburn Library

Brian Brown, a pilot, fire captain and author, will be the guest speaker at Friends of Auburn Library’s noon program on Oct. 7.

In May 2012, while on a trip from California to Idaho in a private plane, Brown and his family encountered turbulent weather and crashed into a mountainside. Brown will talk about the events that led to the plane crash and the rescue efforts that ultimately saved his family. His presentation will also include photos and video taken by first responders.

Copies of Brown’s book, “Rescued: One Family’s Miraculous Story of Survival,” will be available for sale. The presentation will be in the Beecher Room of the Auburn Library, at 350 Nevada St. in Auburn. For more information, contact Chery Anderson at 530-613-1153.
