Author, “Constitutional Sheriff” Richard Mack to speak Friday

Author and former Graham County, Arizona, Sheriff Richard Mack will speak at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 255 S. Auburn St. in Grass Valley. Mack is a retired sheriff, author, consultant, speaker and staunch supporter of the Constitution.

In 1994 while in office, Mack sued the federal government to “stop the destruction of state sovereignty associated with the Brady bill.” He ultimately won the 10th amendment decision. Doors open Friday at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance (at BriarPatch Co-op and Gold-N-Green rentals only) or $15 at the door. High school and college students and current law enforcement are free with ID. A 5 p.m. VIP reception includes meeting Sheriff Mack, appetizers and special seating ($50).
