80th anniversary of Miss Teen Auburn Pageant: Hannah Lewis crowned

The 80th Miss Auburn Pageant was held Nov. 1 at the Ridge Golf Course in Auburn, where Nevada Union High School sophomore Hannah Lewis was crowed Miss Teen Auburn.

Lewis is sophomore class president and plays water polo, basketball and track. She is involved in the new program Athletes Committed program, which teaches kids the science behind staying off of alcohol and drugs.

Lewis has never competed in a pageant before, but her mom was Miss Teen Auburn in 1994. Lewis also won the distinction of “Miss Congeniality,” which is voted on by her fellow contestants, the “Reliability Award,” the “Interview Award,” the “Academic Excellence Award” and the “Peoples Choice Award.” Hannah has aspirations to attend West Point and major in nuclear science.
