New plays to see

Starting tonight, area theatergoers have new plays they can attend.

Tastes Like Dentist Productions presents two plays tonight through Aug. 28 at the Off Center Stage.

“Eat Crow” runs tonight through Saturday and then Aug. 19. Written and directed by Jesse Sabin, the play about isolation, passive aggression and a preemptively botched romance stars Micah Cone.

Showtimes are 7:30 all nights except for Friday, which is 6:30 p.m.

“Crazy Gluehorse,” written and directed by Rory Stephenson and Ian Haines and starring James McCammon and Alexis Gross, will run Aug. 21 to Aug. 28.

Admission is $10. Advance tickets are at Love Shack Records and The Book Seller.

Off Center Stage is in back of the Center for the Arts at 314 W. Main St. in Grass Valley.

WinterStage presents two one-act plays by Christopher Durang: “The Actor’s Nightmare” and “Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You”

Showtime is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 28 at the Winterstage Theater, 554 Searls Ave. in Nevada City.
