New Artisans Gallery to open in Grass Valley

The Art Works Gallery has been established by five local artists as a nonprofit cooperative organization designed to give our local artist community a venue to display and sell their work on a year round basis. Art Works Gallery will be located on Mill Street in historic downtown Grass Valley in a 2000-plus square foot retail space with excellent exposure. Our opening is scheduled for mid-May.

Space will be available for 35 to 50 artists based on individual needs. Through shared responsibilities and teamwork our membership will assist in creating a supportive environment for the artists at a reasonable cost and an opportunity to enhance the arts throughout the community.

All local artists are invited to submit original artwork for the jurying process. The following categories will be considered for membership in the cooperative: paintings, ceramics, jewelry, furniture, fiber arts, glass, photography, woodwork, mixed media and sculpture.

There will be a limitation on the number of artists represented in each category.

Art Works Gallery will be offering a financial incentive to those artists who are selected and have joined prior to the Gallery’s opening.

For more details regarding membership, monthly fees and responsibilities, please visit http://www.artworksgalleryco-op.com or contact us at info@artworksgalleryco-op.com. After receiving your e-mail, we will be happy to contact you by phone to answer questions if necessary.
