Nevada Union’s Taylor Dever will play football at Notre Dame

Nevada Union senior Taylor Dever has announced that he will accept a full athletic scholarship to play football for the University of Notre Dame next fall.

Dever, a 6-foot, 6-inch, 295-pound offensive tackle for the Miners, had as many as 16 scholarships from Division I football programs from which to choose.

“We’re going to be going to South Bend, Indiana to watch our son play football next year,” said Tom Dever, Taylor’s father, in announcing his son’s decision to The Union this afternoon.

Dever, who started on Nevada Union’s Sac-Joaquin Section championship team as a junior and also helped the Miners to a 7-4 record as a senior, made an official recruiting visit to South Bend last weekend.
