Nevada Union previews play

Nevada Union High School drama students preview their “A … My Name is Alice” tonight at the school’s Black Box Theatre.

The feminist-oriented musical comedy depicts universal situations women find themselves in, relating to topics such as aerobics, friendship, dating and the best ways to react to tauntings.

Senior Sarah Colwell directs the ensemble cast.

The show will also be presented the next two Fridays and Saturdays. All showtimes are 7 p.m.

Admission is $5 for students and $7 for adults, except for the closing night performance on Jan. 17, which is $10 for all seats and includes dessert. Tickets are only available at the door.

The Black Box Theatre is in Room A1 across from the choir room. Nevada Union High School is at 11761 Ridge Road in Grass Valley.
