Nevada County Republican Party hosting its spring dinner in Auburn
On May 18, the Nevada County Republican Party will be hosting its Spring Dinner, Fundraiser and Scholarship Award Night at The Ridge Golf Club in Auburn. The event starts with a VIP reception at 4:30 with elected officials, a no-host cocktail reception at 5:30 and the dinner program starting at 6 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Jessica Patterson, recently elected chairwoman of the California GOP. Special speaker is Hayden Williams, the young man who was assaulted on the University of California, Berkeley campus for expressing his free speech rights. Both candidates for the Senate District special election have been invited to speak. There will be many great items available in the opportunity drawing and live auction. Additionally, a Nevada County high school senior will be awarded an essay contest scholarship. Deadline for registration is May 10.
