Nevada County fire: Vegetation fire extinguished on Greenhorn Road

UPDATE at 2:13 p.m.:

Firefighters quickly extinguished a 20-by-50 foot blaze at Greenhorn Road and La Noria Court, authorities said.

“It was putting out a good amount of smoke, but was contained pretty quick,” Battalion Chief Josh Sunde said.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

Firefighters on Monday responded to a vegetation fire at Greenhorn Road and La Noria Court.

Firefighters responded around 1:10 p.m. to the blaze east of Grass Valley, dispatchers said.

The fire was contained to a yard at 1:17 p.m.
