Nevada County Division California Retired Teachers Association

The Nevada County Division California Retired Teachers Association will hold a luncheon meeting March 6 at the Alta Sierra Country Club, 11897 Tammy Way, Grass Valley. Social hour begins at 11 a.m., followed by the business meeting at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon.

The guest speaker for the afternoon will be Lorraine Holden, who has a broad background in biology and medicine. Her experience combines hands on work with patients and studying the relationships of biochemistry and disease. Her master’s degree dealt with the cytochrome enzymes. She is an ardent advocate for exercise and proper diet, and is the author of “Don’t Get Thin, Get Healthy.”

CRTA is California’s largest organization of retired educators. Its mission is to protect and enhance the pensions and benefits of teachers in California. Retired teachers and those who are planning to retire in June are urged to join the local CRTA group.
