Nevada City Film Festival looking for volunteers

As the Nevada City Film Festival prepares to roll out the red carpet for its August 16 opening, event organizers are looking for underwriters and volunteers.

The 4-day festival will screen over 30 films, both local and international, at four venues in Nevada City on August 16 through 19.

This year’s festival will include a panel discussion about internet storytelling featuring the masterminds behind the Youtube sensation “Lonelygirl 15.”

The festival still needs underwriters to support venue rentals and filmmakers’ travel expenses , Festival Director Jason Graham says.

Graham expects to draw a regional audience of over 2,000 to the festival.
