Neva Hansen

Services for Neva L. Hansen of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at the Yacht Lounge in Lake of the Pines. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Shadows Cemetery in Sonora.

Mrs. Hansen died Thursday, March 24. She was 103.

She was born Nov. 25, 1901, in Healdsburg. She lived in Geyserville and graduated from high school in Geyserville. She attended Healds College. She married Emile Cardoza in 1920, and Fred Hansen in the 1940s. They lived in the Bay Area and Alhambra Valley and Twain Harte. She was a resident of Lake of the Pines before moving to a nursing home three years ago. She was an office worker. She enjoyed gardening, and cooking.



She is survived by her daughter, Laura Lintott; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Emile Cardoza, and Fred Hansen; and son, Richard Cardoza.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
